Born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
Studied at the old Sheffield Playhouse, under Colin George, the Chesterfield Civic and the old Queens Theatre, Hornchurch, under Antony Carrick.
Toured with Peggy Mount, Pat Kirkwood, Patrick MacNee, Dinah Sheridan and many other well known names in the early 1970s.
Chaired Olde Tyme Music Hall for the late Hedley Claxton in Morecambe and worked at the Unicorn Theatre, Leicester Square, for Caryl Jenner.
Played Leone Giuffredi, opposite Leonard Rossiter, in "The Heretic" at The Duke Of York's, London in 1970.
Recently, Nigel has performed in tv, film and commercial media. Roles include the defence barrister in Channel 4's Dispatches: "Date Rape", directed by Howard Bradburn, the improvised Chief Constable in "Head of MI5 For The Day for director Joanne Burge and a variety of cranky and insane characters such as The Vampire in TFI and varying improvised characters in the BBC 'Learning Zone' series for director Myfanwy Marshall.
In the highly acclaimed BBC series "Days That Shook The World", Nigel played the enigmatic HOWARD CARTER for director Carl Hindmarch in "The Discovery Of Tutankahmun's Tomb" and Esslemont Adams in "The 1914 Christmas Truce" for director Nic Young .
Recently, Nigel has currently appeared as the lead in the successful AA-Team commercial campaign and as "Eyrie Crowe" in the BBC's "The Hidden Hand" for director Simon Smith.
Nigel is comfortable with loud outward characters or the quieter, stranger personality.
